Pantum Technology Makes a Strategic Tech-Driven Upgrade, Unveiling Its First AI-Powered Printer to Lead an Intelligent Future

2026-06-05

On April 22, 2026, the former Ninestar Corporation officially announced its renaming to Pantum Technology Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 002180) and unveiled its first AI-powered printer* together with the brand new BP/BM2400 Series. This dual launch marks a new stage for China’s printing industry, founded on a fully self-sufficient industrial chain and driven by AI technology.

From Ninestar to Pantum Technology: Four Strategic Initiatives in Core Printing Technology

This name change is a strategic decision made by the Group, grounded in industry trends, established technological capabilities, and future strategy. Building on this historic rebranding, Pantum Technology embarks on a new journey with four core strategic initiatives.

To achieve technological independence across the entire industrial chain, the Group will concentrate its resources on printing technology, increasing R&D investment in chips and core printing technologies to accelerate product iteration, enhance product AI features, and optimize service responsiveness. By supporting industrial-chain integration, Pantum aims to coordinate resources from hundreds of upstream and downstream suppliers, enhance its ability to attract and collaborate with component suppliers, reinforce full-chain synergy, and drive the advancement of China’s printing industry.

As a completely self-owned brand, Pantum will continue to strengthen its presence in more than 110 countries and regions worldwide and gain greater visibility in the global market through integrated technology, product, and brand solutions. Building on this global expansion, the company is also reinforcing its tech identity to become an innovation-driven technology group. Pantum Technology will upgrade its industrial layout from “printing technology and intelligent manufacturing” to “a diversified technology industry with printing technology at its core,” thereby realizing a strategic cycle of “technology empowering the brand, and the brand supporting the technology industry layout.”

Major Debut: Reshaping Full-Scenario Printing Experience with AI Intelligence and Extreme Durability

Leveraging its proprietary full-stack core technologies, Pantum Technology has launched its first AI-powered printer and the BP/BM2400 Series. They are designed respectively for smart home learning and high-efficient office environments. Through continuous innovation, Pantum Technology addresses real user pain points and redefines the intelligent experience and product durability of printing products.

Pantum’s AI printer is the world’s first smart printing device integrated with Qwen and ERNIE large AI models*. Featuring an AI virtual assistant, Ben, and a 3.5-inch smart interactive screen, it delivers four core capabilities: AI voice control, intelligent learning assistance, all-around life management, and real-time device monitor. The device marks a shift from being a passive tool to becoming an active intelligent assistant. Multi-dialect voice interaction makes it easy for all family members to use and control by voice; intelligent learning assistance enables remote homework printing, auto-grading, mistake collection with similar question recommendations, and one-click exam paper restoration; full-scenario printing support includes recipes, handwriting tracing, song sheets, home office documents, and more; and real-time consumable and fault alerts keep printing status under control.

The BP/BM2400 Series carries forward the legacy of extreme durability, delivering heavy-duty performance with 150,000 pages printed without replacing any components, except the toner cartridge. By introducing this new Series, Pantum has formed a complete product matrix built for durability, covering full scenarios and all speed ranges, meeting high-demand printing needs across different users and scenarios.

Designed for busy office and heavy workloads, the Pantum Efficient Pro Series achieved continuous printing of 200,000 pages with a paper jam rate of less than 0.002%*, ensuring stable and reliable printing with exceptional performance. The Elite Pro Series set a world record of continuous printing of 400,000 pages with a paper jam rate of less than 0.002%*, redefining durability standards. Combining vibrant color output with lasting reliability, the Vibrant Series carries durability excellence into color printing. From entry-level to high-end, monochrome to color, Pantum’s heavy-duty product lineup is setting a new benchmark for commercial printing through rugged and endurable performance.

Alongside robust hardware, Pantum also provided two software solutions to empower industry-specific needs in printing management. One is tailored for medical printing in China, enabling end-to-end automated inspection, automatic consumables inventory alerts, and intelligent cross-area asset management within medical settings. The other, Pantum Utilities V2.0, supports driver-free installation, one-click invoice list generation, and drag-and-drop printing—addressing key pain points and significantly improving operational efficiency for enterprises.

Reinforce Industrial Foundation through Ecosystem Collaboration, Strong Global Sales Underscore Solid Brand Reputation

The high-quality development of China’s printing industry relies on strong ecosystem collaboration. As a key pillar within the industrial chain, Pantum has spent nearly two decades overcoming numerous technical barriers, achieving full-stack mastery of core printing technologies, and building an integrated R&D system covering chips, consumables, and machines. With more than 4,178 proprietary patents and over 2,000 R&D engineers, Pantum Technology has established China's largest patent portfolio and R&D team in the printing industry. Pantum has also driven coordinated progress among more than 100 upstream and downstream suppliers, consolidating a self-sufficient industrial foundation that integrates technology, product development, and supply chain management.

Building on this foundation, Pantum has translated industrial strength through ecosystem collaboration into user value, achieving tangible results in connecting with users and redefining usage scenarios. By partnering with Qwen, the company is advancing scenario-based AI innovation, enabling intelligent technology to adapt precisely to different printing needs and reshape the user experience. In collaboration with platforms such as JD.com, Pantum connects user touchpoints and service channels, leveraging platform insights to refine products and enhance market reach. Together, technological R&D, scenario-based deployment, and channel reach create an end-to-end value chain that drives the growth of a new industry ecosystem.

These technology and ecosystem advantages have also driven global market performance. Pantum has supported high-profile international events such as the Boao Forum for Asia and the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2025 (Summer Davos). At the 2025 Summer Davos, Pantum’s Elite Pro Series achieved a world record of continuous printing of 400,000 pages with a paper jam rate of less than 0.002%. From major global conferences to empowering Chinese Antarctic scientific expeditions, Pantum has earned a reputation as “Important Moments, Print with Pantum.”

Today, Pantum products are sold in more than 110 countries and regions, with a cumulative total of 20 million units rolled off the line. For multiple years, Pantum has been recognized for maintaining a high sales growth rate among global printer brands*, showcasing strong global market presence. Beyond market performance, Pantum is also trusted by government institutions and leading enterprises—including BYD and Hisense, covering government, enterprise, finance, healthcare, and home office scenarios.

Driven by technology, reinforced by ecosystem collaboration, and committed to expand global footprint, Pantum Technology will continue to anchor on independent innovation as its growth engine and drive the deep integration of AI with printing scenarios leveraging its fully integrated supply chain, delivering smarter, more efficient, safer, and more durable printing solutions to users worldwide .
